Chinese Lucky Spider Necklace and Bracelets

Spider sliding down his web symbolizes good luck descending from heaven“… Eberhard.

This rare set came with a story… an American soldier who served in Burma brought this back as a gift for his wife. It is still in the original box and in almost perfect condition.

Over the years I have owned a few of these spider sets – fine delicate workmanship… very fragile… silver wire as fine as thread… woven into webs of the classic octagon…  but this is the only set that I have seen with the blue enameled spiders.

So we believe that the discovery of the spider set is an auspicious omen for all of us in the Year of the Rabbit.

I just found a set that belonged to my Grandmother. It s very similar to this set above; however it does not have gems. The set is only silver.
The set consists of: necklace, screw on earrings, 2 bracelets and a brooch.
It was in a box with no information listed.
I am hoping to get answers- any leads are appreciated.
