Chinese Amethyst White Jade Necklace

Once in a while we find a piece that I consider ‘really rare’… this amethyst and white jade necklace is my new favorite.

What makes a piece rare? This is original 19th century Chinese knotting… and an unusual combination of amethyst and white jade…and the white Hetian jade plaque features the He-He twins carved in an early 19th century style … and the two sets of ‘Devil’s Work’ jade each have four interesting rings … the only 4 ring sets that I have ever owned…

After 15 years of handling Chinese ornaments, I still get a thrill touching something this beautiful!
